JOURNEY FROM THE AIRPORT

By Taxi
The average charge for a ride from the airport to the centre is 35.00 EUR to 40.00 EUR.

By City Airport Train (CAT)
From the airport non stop to the City Air Terminal (Wien-Mitte/Landstraße Underground Stations U4 & U3) in the centre of Vienna. A running time of only 16 minutes makes the CAT the fastest possibility to get from the airport to the centre. Every half hour from 6:05 am to 11:35 pm from the airport, between 5:38 am and 11:08 pm from the City Air Terminal where passengers can also check in.

By Bus

Bus lines to Vienna International Airport run every 20 minutes in both directions from 5:30 am to midnight.
Ticket: 6.00 EUR, travel time approx. 30-45 minutes.
Departure Schwedenplatz/Morzinplatz: every 30 minutes (red and green lines/U1 & U4),
Westbahnhof (orange line/U3) and Südbahnhof (Schnellbahn S 60)

By Municipal Railway
The rapid train railway runs daily from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm, intervals from 10 to 30 minutes, travel time approx. 30 minutes.
Ticket: 3.00 EUR.
Railway Stations: Floridsdorf (U6 & S15), Wien Mitte (Landstraße/U3 & U4)

Transfer Bratislava - Wien - Bratislava

There are different ways to get from Bratislava to Vienna. The most convenient is to take the bus 1195 which leaves from Letisko Bratislava and runs directly to Vienna Südbahnhof where you find connection to public transport. The bus runs regularly and the ride takes about 90 minutes. It is € 9,- for a one-way ticket and € 16,- the return included. Reservation is compulsory.

If you want to go by train which departs in shorter intervals take bus number 61 from the airport to the railway station. The bus ride takes about 25 minutes and the train ride, depending on the particular connection, about 70 minutes.

For those of you who prefer to come on waterway an attractive possibility would be a ride on the TWIN CITY LINER, a high-speed catamaran which connects the two cities. To reach embarkment near the historic centre (station Nový Most) please use public transport. For information please visit www.imhd.sk. The ride with the TWIN CITY LINER to the landing stage Vienna/Schwedenplatz will take about 75 minutes. There you find connection to public transport. Please visit www.twincityliner.com to look up more details about departure times, prices and landing stages.

Also a lot of taxi companies would bring you to Vienna; to name one exemplary www.airportshuttle.sk. The companies organise transport for carpools with minibuses too. Usually you must book the taxis in advance.
